Discussion of Software for Statistics and Analytics Instruction

ABSTRACT
A panel of users will discuss their experiences and perspectives on a variety of computational software for instruction in a statistics or analytics course. Software packages to be addressed include but are not limited to Excel, JMP, Minitab, R, SAS, SPSS and StatCrunch. Discussion will focus on multiple criteria for evaluating software including desired purpose for the software in the course, availability of the software, ease of use, and future value to the students. In addition to the panel those attending will be encouraged to participate in the discussion.
