Applying Rational Framework of Decision Making to Revise Corporate Strategy: A Case Study of a Technology Start-Up Company

ABSTRACT
This study aims to apply rational framework of decision making in a real case. It involves changing the corporate strategy of a startup technology company called PT. Sejahtera (PTS). PTSā?T business model involves generating profit from system integration and project arrangement in the IT and telecommunication domain. The change in PTSā?T corporate strategy is required to optimize PTSā?T positioning in the market and therefore optimizes the company pay off.

The study concludes that rational framework is very useful in decision making of PTS. The rational framework helps to make better decisions in the implementation and negotiation stage of the projects and to guard the organizationā?Ts performance against cognitive biases and forces of irrationality.
